Acne
What is Acne?
Acne is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder of the sebaceous glands characterized by comedones and blemishes. Inflammation of the sebaceous glands results from retained oil secretions, cells, and excessive bacteria.
It is a skin condition in which your pores become clogged with oil and dead skin cells resulting in inflamed sebaceous glands. This condition is characterized by blemishes such as pimples on the face and is most prevalent amongst teens, but can also be found on adults. This common problem often appears as an outbreak of blemishes on your skin.
Men oftentimes experience acne due to irritation when it comes to shaving. Although pimples eventually go away, if you are prone to outbreaks consistently, you can end up with acne scars on your skin.
